At Origin Nature Journeys, we believe the best travel experiences happen when you have the freedom to explore at your own pace. We create self-guided, custom, and small-group journeys across India and Sri Lanka, helping travelers discover nature, culture, and local communities beyond the usual tourist routes.

Sujithlal Sudhan
Founder | Cyclist | Kayaker
Sujithlal Sudhan is the founder of Origin Nature Journeys and hails from Alleppey, Kerala, the land of the backwaters. He served in the Indian Navy for 15 years as a Logistician, travelling extensively across India and Southeast Asia. Following his naval career, he pursued his passion for travel and completed a Post Graduate Degree in Tourism Management.
An avid cyclist, kayaker, and outdoor enthusiast, Sujith has spent years designing and leading active travel experiences that combine nature, culture, and adventure. Today, he oversees guest relations, tour planning, and operations at Origin Nature Journeys.
Sujith lives in Alleppey with his wife Shilpa and daughter Thiya. While the Himalayas remain his favourite destination, he continues to explore new places and cultures through meaningful journeys.
Shilpa Kaimal
Admin & Accounts Shilpa Kaimal brings creativity, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for authentic travel experiences to Origin Nature Journeys. Having travelled extensively across India, she plays a key role in identifying unique, eco-friendly accommodations and nurturing relationships with local hospitality partners.A postgraduate in Science, Shilpa manages administration and accounts while contributing to the thoughtful design of travel experiences. Beyond work, she enjoys gardening, craftwork, exploring traditional cuisines, and immersing herself in literature ranging from Indian mythology to contemporary fiction.Her creativity and eye for detail help shape the warm and personal touch that defines Origin Nature Journeys.

A skilled off-road rider and passionate explorer, he brings years of experience navigating remote backroads, mountain trails, and lesser-known routes. With a natural curiosity for discovery, he is always searching for hidden viewpoints, scenic detours, and authentic local experiences beyond the usual tourist path.Combining technical riding expertise with an explorer’s mindset, he helps guests experience destinations in a deeper and more meaningful way. Whether leading rides through rugged landscapes or quiet countryside roads, he ensures every journey is filled with adventure, memorable encounters, and a genuine connection to the places visited.For him, the best journeys are not measured by distance, but by the stories, landscapes, and experiences discovered along the way.
Unni Krishnan
Tour Lead | Kayaking | SUP Unnikrishnan is a former Indian Navy sportsman and an experienced kayaker, canoeist, swimmer, and outdoor guide. After his sporting career, he worked as a professional whitewater rafting and kayaking guide in Rishikesh, gaining valuable experience in river navigation, water safety, rescue techniques, and expedition leadership.Having spent much of his life around Kerala's Vembanad Lake, he has a deep understanding of its waterways, weather conditions, and local environment. His years of experience on rivers, lakes, and open waters, combined with his calm and practical approach, help guests feel confident and comfortable during their adventures.Passionate about paddling and the outdoors, Unnikrishnan enjoys sharing his knowledge of nature, local culture, and water-based activities while ensuring every experience remains safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
Balabhaskar

Balabhaskar V is a Tour Lead at Origin Nature Journeys and hails from Alleppey, Kerala, a region known for its backwaters, village life, and rich cultural heritage. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Digital Marketing, he combines academic knowledge with a passion for travel, adventure, and hospitality.A passionate cyclist, kayaker, and motorbike explorer, Balabhaskar has extensive experience leading outdoor adventures across Kerala. He specializes in Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, and backwater exploration, with an in-depth knowledge of the region's hidden waterways, villages, and offbeat destinations.At Origin Nature Journeys, he helps create immersive travel experiences that connect guests with Kerala’s natural beauty, culture, and local communities. His enthusiasm, local expertise, and commitment to guest satisfaction make him a valued member of the team.
